Manager/Senior Manager – Risk & Compliance – Asset Management

This is a new role that’s come about with a large financial services organisation that is evolving and developing and extending the business model. You will have the opportunity to think strategically and operate at Senior Manager’s level and be hands on. You will need the commerciality and maturity of a Senior Manager but will need to be hands on in your approach

Ideally, you will have a Risk and Compliance background with a boutique / mid-sized funds manager or you may have a background with a larger scale operation.

We are looking for 3-5 years + experience in Operational Risk and Compliance in the asset management or funds management space. You will be involved with providing strategic direction addressing and mitigating operational risks.

Responsibilities in this role may include:

• Identification of operational risks and implementing appropriate controls
• Embedding a risk culture in the business
• Working with compliance breaches and issues
• Build relationships and work with various stakeholders in the business to address operational risks
• Various other risk management functions

To be considered for this role, we are looking at candidates with:

• 3 – 5 + years working knowledge and experience in operational risk / audit in the asset management / fund management sector
• A strong understanding of the operational processes involved in the asset management / funds management sector
• Relevant qualifications
• The ability to work autonomously, take control and contribute towards decision making
• The ability to think strategically as well as be hands on
